National Health Investors, Inc. is a real estate investment trust that specializes in the purchase and leaseback of health care real estate and in the making of mortgage loans to health care operators.
NHI began operations on
October 17, 1991. At March 31, 2009, we had investments in 121 health care facilities
located in 17 states, consisting of 81 long-term care facilities, 1 acute care
hospital, 4 medical office buildings, 14 assisted living facilities, 4
retirement centers and 17 residential projects for the developmentally
disabled.
